The Sewage treatment plant has to be replaced( it is near end of life) could cost $5M

    Aren’t we still paying for the last one? How will this cost be absorbed by the residents? What will the effect on current taxes be? I was unable to attend last night meeting….

    I believe we still owe a small amount on the current Plant. The cost for the engineering study as well as the resulting waste water treatment facility will be absorbed by the residents of the district. The cost will be part of your annual tax assessment but will be likely be higher than the current assessment.

    Check out West Monroe Supervisor.com We still owe the small sum($39,000 approx of the original cost -Sewer Treatment plant supposed to be paid off in 25 yrs.and last approx.25 yrs.We will be charged around $25,000.for the final study to include Toad Harbor and West End Districts which Big Bay taxpayers will be charged for.Please attend the meeting,inquire of the web sites and contact the Town Administration.

    Dear Kim,Thank you for your questions and input please post more of your interests and ideas about Big Bay area.Check with Chris Shaw about next scheduled Committee meeting that include Parks &Recreation,Infrastructure,Zoning.Funds are available to Community organizations for Neighborhood Watch,Parks & Recreation.
